At east to west we are proud partners of The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership. A consortium of charities with a common goal to transform emotional wellbeing and mental health services in Surrey. Working with children and young people in the community to improve their wellbeing and mental health to live full, fun and confident lives.
Working as part of Mindworks Surrey, a broader Surrey alliance of the third sector and health partners the aim is to lead on early intervention and prevention in the approach so that over time we will reduce the need for clinical intervention.
During 2021 Surrey Wellbeing Partnership were successful in receiving funding to deliver Early Intervention in all the secondary schools across Surrey. For this east to west provide early Intervention co-ordinators in the boroughs of Elmbridge, Spelthorne and Woking. Our early Intervention co-ordinators spend one day a week in each school providing 1-1 support, group work and whole school wellbeing.
During January 2024, the program was extended to the primary schools. Again, east to west provides early intervention co-ordinators in the boroughs of Elmbridge, Spelthorne and Woking providing one term of support within each of the 74 primary schools over the next two years.
